The Wines | A Symphony of Flavors | Wine Tours Dahlonega GA
Buckley Wines offer a range of styles that cater to every palate. From the crisp and refreshing whites to the bold and rich reds, and of course, the sweet and southern-favorite muscadine, each glass tells a story of craftsmanship and care along with a story about the wine, the label and the name. Learn how all of these amazing wines got their names like Classy Coco, Sweet Mickey, Frank, Eva, Henry, Kenneth, and Jeanne.
White Wines | Crisp and Refreshing
The Buckley white wines are known for their elegance and sophistication. Whether you’re a seasoned wine lover or a casual sipper, there’s something in this collection for you.
Chardonnay
Fermented in stainless steel, with notes of grapefruit and pear, the Chardonnay is smooth and perfectly balanced. It’s ideal for sipping as you watch butterflies dance across the garden, offering a crisp finish that keeps you coming back for more. Our Chardonnay is unoaked to retain its clean and fresh character. Like Coco, this chardonnay is sure to be a classic.
Sauvignon Blanc
If you prefer a slightly more zesty wine then Jeanne is your girl! This Sauvignon Blanc offers refreshing notes of citrus and tropical fruits. This crisp and lively wine pairs wonderfully with light appetizers available during your tasting, such as the local cheese and fruit platter. Jeanne is Gay’s mother. She is a sharp and quick-witted beach girl that can still throw a great party! We find this Sauvignon Blanc to be the perfect accompaniment to her style with it’s fun, tropical edginess and crisp finish. This Sauvignon Blanc is aged in stainless steel.
Muscadine
Sweet Southern Tradition
If you’re looking for something sweet and distinctly Southern, muscadine wine is a must-try. Made from muscadine grapes, native to the American South, this wine offers a truly unique flavor profile. It’s sweet, fruity, and a little floral, making it a delightful option for those who enjoy a bit of sugar in their glass. Buckley’s Muscadine Wine is one of their signature offerings, with rich, aromatic flavors of honey, ripe berries, and a touch of wildflowers.
Rose
Norton and Blanc du Bois marry to create a refreshing and flavorful dry rosé. Our henry rosé is a dry wine named after the beloved old truck that welcomes everyone to the winery. We named Henry in honor of Henry Evans, the original owner of our land here. We’re sure he watches over us in approval.
Apple
Kevin’s grandmother, Corrine, was the delight of the family. In honor of her many years as an educator, we are pleased to share this delightful, off-dry “Apple for the Teacher”. We love this Apple Wine, produced from locally sourced apples, aged in stainless steel. An outstanding summer wine that is delicious for sipping. Crisp apple, fruit-forward, light dry and refreshing. Deliciously pairs with blue cheese, roasted poultry or even curries.
Apple/Sweet
Gay’s sweet grandmother was a friendly, kind and humble soul. Like Eva, you will find this Apple Wine friendly and easy on the palate: semi-sweet, luscious and refreshing. Cousin to our Corinne apple wine, Eva appeals to a slightly sweeter palate.
Red Wines | Bold and Complex
For those who prefer a deeper, more robust flavor, Buckley’s red wines are sure to satisfy. Each glass is rich with layers of flavor, making for an indulgent tasting experience.
Cabernet Sauvignon
Deep, dark, and delicious, this full-bodied red offers notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, and a touch of tobacco. It’s the perfect wine for cooler fall evenings, especially when paired with savory bites. Kevin’s father, Frank, was “The Big Guy” to everyone. Large and in charge, he was the quintessential leader. Enjoy “The Frank” aged two years in French Oak. Inviting, bold and complex yet still smooth and approachable, just like Dad.
Merlot
Gay’s father, “Daddy Ken”, was an adored man: convivial, very social and welcoming to all. We know this Kenneth wine will be equally adored for it’s soft and approachable style. Aged two years in French Oak. Inviting yet bold and complex, and like Daddy, the life of the party.
Farmhouse
This Bordeaux style blend is a full-bodied blend of 50% Petite Sirah, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Merlot with aromas of black currant, plum, cedar, violet and minerals. On the palate, find savory fruit notes with a dry finish.

The butterfly flight house is especially beautiful in autumn, as the colors of the butterflies blend harmoniously with the warm fall tones.
As part of the winery’s fall experience, guests can enjoy a sunset wine tasting in the butterfly house, followed by a butterfly release. Imagine watching dozens of butterflies take flight, their wings catching the last rays of the sun, as you sip on a glass of Buckley’s finest wine. It’s an experience that captures the beauty of nature and the art of winemaking all in one.
Whether you’re sipping a crisp Chardonnay or savoring a glass of rich Cabernet, each taste is elevated by the surrounding beauty. And with the added option of a butterfly release during your event, you can create memories that are as fleeting and delicate as the butterflies themselves.
